Penn & Teller: Fool Us is a competition for magic television show in which magicians perform tricks before American magician-comedian duo Penn & Teller. The initial 2 seasons featured expert host Jonathan Ross, and the fourth season from then on was hosted by Alyson.

Each episode starts off with the introduction stating the reason for the series. Penn & Teller come out and are seated at the stage. The eager magicians will perform their magic before them in front of a an audience in the studio. Following each show, Penn & Teller privately confer while the host interviews the magicians. Penn & Teller then reveal their knowledge of how the trick was executed, in a cryptic manner, usually by using language or writing down the method and presenting it privately to the magicians for confirmation, so they won`t be approaching public disclosure of the method of the trick.
